Sims 2.3
Does anyone make Sims 3 pictures in the same way we used to make them for Sims 2?
I just can’t get into picture-creating with Sims 3. Maybe I haven’t given it enough of a chance. Maybe I haven’t seen enough examples to inspire me. Maybe I’m too spoiled by all the custom content and pose hack resources we had with Sims 2. I don’t know.
When I see Sims pictures now, I still see Sims 2 pictures. Has everyone else decided picture-taking in Sims 3 stinks, or have they just not moved onto Sims 3 period?
Anybody know of any pose hacks for Sims 3. Back in the day, my first stop to look for some would be Mod the Sims, but visiting that site now just plain gives me a headache.
One major problem I have with Sims 3 in general, but it particularly affects picture-taking is the fact that Windowed mode distorts the graphics in the game. So I have to play full screen mode, which is way too inefficient for picture-taking (and a whole lot of other things, actually).
Blah, I miss old Sims. Wish they could create a game just like Sims 2 + its expansions, with the performance and graphics increases of Sims 3. Haha.
Ok, so the sims3 site sucks when it comes to stories and I’m really upset, but in all honesty I totally understand why. The sims3 just isn’t made for it. Personally, I’d continue your stories through the sims2, especially because it’s more entertaining to look at the pictures from sims2 than sims3 from a reader perspective. The sims just look better on sims2. I’m excited you’ve had a break through with I Woke Up LA! I’d continue you it on the sims2, but that’s just my opinion of course haha. I totally agree with your last statement about the sims2 with just performance and graphics increase!! Only in a perfect world I guess!
I know what you mean Jaclyn! I was thinking of changing my Sims 2 story into Sims 3 but I have no motivation. Lack of pose knowledge, hacks and the pause actually pausing the sim are my main factors! Its tough but I think its going to be like how Sims 2 began, everything was sort of acceptable when it looked kind of boring as that was just all we could do?
Decorgirl has begun making hacks again (but she doesn’t want to share them :S) and the MTS guys are creating a few things in the Sims 3 section of the site, such as having objects permanently in hands or having a permanent ‘talking on phone’ animation playing over others. I haven’t tried any but with the knowledge everyone gained through Sims 2 I’m hoping we develop it again soon!

As for me, I live above the influence when it comes to Sims 3. xD Simply, I didn’t find the appeal. Sure the performance quality is great, but I like the realism in the Sims 2. It seemed to me that it should’ve been Sims 1, Sims 3, THEN Sims 2. Sims 2 just has so many options for writers and simmers in general.
I’m still a strong Sims 2 player. >:D
