This post doesn’t deserve a title.
So, I’ve managed to gain interest in Twitter, a silly social site where you just post one-liners many times a day. Haha. I set up an account quite some time ago, but never felt a desire to use it until last week. And now I’m sucked in! It’s quite entertaining. Do any of you Twitter? Let me know if you do; I don’t know hardly anyone on there.
My neck hurts. Lord knows what I did to it. Slept wrong or something. But it’s super annoying and I want to go home. I’d want to go home anyway, but now I just really, really want to go home.
This is such a long week, though immensely shorter than last week. This week at least was broken up by a trip to Temple. I LOVE my bi-monthly trips to Temple. The drive from Bryan to Temple, TX is probably the best drive through the state I’ve ever been on. I travel on farm roads that are very low traffic, and all that’s there are some fields, cows, and wild flowers. It rocks. I’m going to be sad when I finish my work I’m doing there and won’t be able to go as often.
I finally read The Da Vinci Code. I know, I’m so late at jumping on bandwagons here. But anyway, man, what an awesome book! I understand why it was so insanely popular. Kind of reminds me of the show Alias, without all the ass-kicking. I don’t have much else to add to that, other than that now he’s the author I’m going to obsess over. I’m reading Angels and Demons now.
UM. WHAT ELSE? I got nothing. Which sucks, because I don’t really want to get back to work yet. The internet is very boring today, and I apologize for just adding to that, but eh, what are you going to do?
The internet is kinda boring for me too. i used to play games all the time but they got boring. now i play sims all the time. except when my dad takes away my computer. twitter sounds SO interesting, since you described it in such detail. Awesome website by the way. keep up the good work.
I’m curious now - what kind of shots? The alcoholic kind or the medical kind??? The nosey nurse wants to know! LOL… I looked at twitter and it looks neat but I doubt anyone would care what I have to say - but maybe one day…
I loved The Da Vinci Code - and yes, I am christian, southern babtist even, but there is no sense getting worked up over a piece of fiction - it’s not going to change MY beliefs LOL. I still haven’t read Angels and Demons - though I plan to one day.
Funny thing that you happen to post about that book when I have been trying to find references to a satanic cult in my home town (due to my dog’s disappearance :/ - a pt of mine tonight who was used to be a crime scene evidence analysist suggested that he might have been abducted by this cult… OMG I hope not :<) when I came across a reference to either an article or book I had never heard of that referenced my hometown. Then I proceeded to that site which had a ton of references to the illuminati and other anti-christian stuff - but try as I might I never found another reference to said book/article. This disapointed me - and here I thought something interesting had happened in my tiny town. UGH
OMG sorry for the book - hope it was entertaining! LOL

The Da Vinci Code, I’ve Never Read The Book But, I’ve Seen The Movie With Tom Hanks! It’s One Of My All Time Favorite Movies! I’ll Have To Read The Book Next For Sure! If You Get A Chance You’ll Have To See The Movie! Really Good!

Ash: Oh, medical shots — I’m type 1 diabetic, so it’s just part of my nightly ritual. That’s so scary about your poor dog!! Aww.
I hope you find him, and that some super crazies have nothing to do with it! O.o
And yeah, I don’t understand why people get so worked up over fiction either. It’s a super interesting story. Celeste, I want to see the movie now so bad! I never saw it before, because I planned to read the book at some point, haha. So, now I’m going to have to hunt it down.

I happen to have taken a very special interest in diabetic education. I almost wnet into elementary education so maybe that is why… lol (must be a born teacher). I’m sorry you have type 1 - that must have been so hard as a kid. As someone who sees WAY to many people who refuse to take care of their diabetes - and the reprocussions are SO scary- it just gave me this strong desire to try to be a person who could help teach people new to diabetes the importance of eating right and seeing their doctor.. etc etc ramble ramble LOL

Another nurse tonight was just talking about how she wishes we could spend as much money into finding a cure for diabetes as we do aids and cancer research… I feel the same - we have come a LONG way but not nearly long enough.

But yeah, I actually consider myself quite lucky, because I was a really late type 1 and wasn’t diagnosed until I was 18 (a few weeks before college actually). So I didn’t have to deal with any of it as a kid, thank goodness.
I typically look at it as—I could certainly have a lot worse. It’s a nutty disease, and I wish they would find a cure, but I’m not holding my breath. LOL. I can’t even imagine life without it anymore. ^__^
Haha, and in all truths, if I were to choose one thing to cut out of my nightly annoying schedule, I’d pick the showering before the shots (which I do lots of other times during the day anyway). I’m so lazy (and gross). Heh

Mmmm, I’m making a twitter now, mostly so I can keep up with dooce. Haha, but I’d loooooove to talk to you. I completely understand about the whole internet thing, I’m pretty much on a very long hiatus from the internet. (Mostly because I have such shitty internet service it’s not even worth it…) Anyways, I’m Erin_B on twitter. =]
