That is not a boast or an opinion, it is bone hard medical fact.

During my extended vacation from work, I have been sleeping in opposites (going to bed around 8 or 9 am and getting up near 5 or 6 pm) and watching lots of movies. And also eating lots of popcorn, but we won’t dwell on that.

I just finished watching The Libertine a few minutes ago, and I must say–what a strange movie. Yet, not strange at all if you consider it’s a Johnny Depp movie. It starts out with a very entertaining monologue, and I think Johnny’s character, the Earl of Rochester, keeps up these entertaining, bizarre speeches throughout. I think my favorite part is the Earl’s play, just because I wasn’t expecting anything quite that extreme, though I don’t know why. This movie had me thinking WTF several times throughout, but I think I liked it. I think.

Before that, I watched I Love You, I Love You Not, with Claire Danes and Jude Law. Oh, they were young. How was that a 1997 movie? Well, Jude Law was much older than his character, and I found that a bit weird throughout. It was an okay movie. The plot seems like it could have been much better developed. I would have liked more from the Grandmother’s story, most definitely, and the ending scene with Jude Law left much to be desired. But I liked the complete and utter awkwardness of Claire Danes’ character anyhow. Meh.

Early Friday morning I watched The Cider House Rules. Good movie. Interesting movie. Tobey Maguire–not my favorite, but I liked his character. Man, that Mr. Rose and Rose Rose thing sure came out of no where for me though. God, what the hell was that? Perhaps a more appropriate question is why? I had liked them. But oh well, I’ll get over it.

Yesterday I watched Gone in 60 Seconds. Haha, yes, I had not seen that movie before. I liked it! I liked it a lot for an action movie, which I usually find utterly ridiculous. It was a bit goofy, as most action movies are, but I enjoyed the thoroughly ridiculous car chase scene. And well, honestly, I just like Angelina Jolie and Giovanni Ribisi.

A few days ago, I watched Waitress, which my mom gave me on DVD for Christmas, and I like this most of these movies I’ve listed. Of course, how can you go wrong with my dear Felicity‘s Keri Russell and Firefly‘s Nathan Fillion? This movie was super funny and incredibly cute and clever. Not the most satisfying ending ever, but it was a good and fitting one, none the less.

I may have watched some other movies, but they’re escaping me for the moment. I’m dreading going back to work already. Monday morning will be a sad one. Should I just not sleep, since I’m staying up later than the time I’d need to be at work anyway? I tried that once last year, and it did not go so well. But then, trying to fix it beforehand with my lack of will power won’t work either. We shall see. :)

Ohhhh Jaclyn… you poor thing, you’ve converted to my schedule – lol! Yes, the life of a third-shifter has its perks as well as it’s downsides.. Luckily I work three 12-hour shifts in a row, so I might have two days where I have reverted to a normal schedule…maybe..if I feel like getting out of the house heheheh. Oh, I watched the Libertine and I thought it was terribly nasty (although I laughed my butt off at the play). I liked Gone in 60 secs, and it has been SOOO long since I saw Cider House that I need to rewatch it lol but I remember liking it.

Haha, Amy, that’s a lot of car chasing! XD Thanks!

Ash, lol, *high fives* to weirded out schedules. At least you have a valid reason for yours though! ^^ And nasty is a perfect way to sum up The Libertine. Haha. But I think the sheer ridiculousness of the nasty (topics, not the syphilis face! *shudders*) kept me liking it.

Oh man Jac, you’ve become nocturnal. Your sleeping patterns are so wacked… how on earth do you manage it?
I’m not that fond of Tobey Maguire either… very stuck up.
