Back to monotony.
So the wonderful Thanksgiving holidays are over and the count down to Christmas holidays begins. I want Christmas to be here quite badly because the thought of working all day right now makes me want to gouge out my eyes; however, I also don’t want Christmas to be here yet because I’m in no mood to go Christmas shopping. Just ugh.
Anyway, Thanksgiving was fun; I went to Dallas/Fort Worth to visit my parents, and spent most of the time there reading Harry Potter. Obsessed much? Oh yes. I’m now almost halfway through the last book, and I’m still pissed about what happened to Sirius in the fifth book. The only other thing I really did over the break was go to a Tori Amos concert! The weather was cold and rainy and we had to pay $15 to park and then walk in the miserable weather, but Tori was nothing short of completely awesome. And she performed Cornflake Girl. Which completely made my night right there.
This was my second time seeing her in concert, and I think I liked this time a bit better because one, our seats were a bit closer, and two, she played with her band, which I think makes it more interesting for some songs. She still did a solo section with just her and the piano, but it was nice hearing her with the band as well this time.
Moving on, I just want to say THANK YOU again to those of you who read the new chapters of I Woke Up LA. I’m happy that it was well-received and your comments make me excited to start the next part. Though, however excited I may be, I do think it will be quite some time before the next chapters are released. I do not know if I will have much time to even start working on it before Christmas. Of course, you never know, maybe me saying that will make the opposite happen.
I will say this about what to expect in the future chapters:
- There is a lot more to tell of Charlotte and Geoffrey; in fact, we haven’t quite reached the point in that story where Jill finds it so interesting he wants to make a movie out of it yet. Expect a strange twist. I hope I can pull it off without making it seem ridiculous.
- The story isn’t going to end with Jill and Charlotte alone in that motel. And they’re not romantically involved. Luckily, there were fewer people to jump to this conclusion than I anticipated, because I know how much everyone thought the mystery woman would be involved with Jill. But, I just want to nix any Jill and Charlotte love thoughts right now. Haha, that just doesn’t sound appealing.
- There is a certain parallel between Charlotte and Geoffrey’s tale and what’s going on in LA. A difficult part for me to figure out in the upcoming chapters is tying those together with the right timing.
- I think there’s a good deal left to the story. Meaning, it’s not going to end in the next chapter. This one summed up a few big plots that had been carrying on for many chapters now; but I think the ending of 8 is more of a calm before the end. And the end could take a while to come out. I never anticipated this story being more than 7 or 8 chapters, but then I managed to take a lot longer to tell the story. I don’t know how many chapters it will end up being, but I would guess at least 10. With the way I’ve been lately, it could be 12 or even 14 (good lord, I’ll be 30 by that time). More than likely, 9 and 10 will be released simultaneously because I find it difficult to find a stopping point at only 120 slides, which is (approximately, at the moment) the limit on Sims2.com.
Awwww…Jaclyn that’s so awesome you got to go to a Tori Amos concert! I’ve been wanting to go to one of her concerts for ages but, she never manages to get down this way! I’m in the process of reading Harry Potter as well! I just finished the 3rd book and plan on picking up the 4th book here soon! Then as soon as I finish reading all the books I plan on watching the movies too!
I’m defiantly looking forward to reading the next chapter of IWULA! I never imagined the woman in the shower would’ve been Charlotte! I was seriously expecting it to be Mat or maybe a mystery lady we hadn’t met or something! lol. I still have hope that things will get more serious between Mat & Jill! At least that’s my hope anyways!^_^ This is defiantly one of my favorite Sim stories along with your Cornflake Girl story! That story I’ve read at least a 100 times by now! lol.
Anyways, I will stop rambling on! Hope you have and awesome Wednesday tomorrow! Take Care Jaclyn!^_^

You’re very obsessed with HP. Weren’t you up to the 5th on the last blog update? o__0 Very fast reader.
I don’t really like the parallel between Charlotte & LA. Mainly cause the outcome looks so unhappy - the couple not together sort of thing.
Harry Potter is addicting beyond belief, I’ve pulled 2 all nighters just to finish them. The 7th one took me 6 hours. I read it on the way to the beach, but then I had nothing to read on the beach. Sadface! But, luckily for me, I came back from the beach, plopped on the floor of the hotel room, covered in sand, and (of course) got on the computer. How great my joy was when I found I Woke Up LA chapter 6!
I’m so strange.
OOh, still many chapters. Great!
Marie.
I can’t take this anymore! I’m so reading the Harry Potter books. I’ve been nagging myself for about a year now, trying to get my butt off the computer and into the Harry Potter books. I have the whole set just chillin in my room on a shelf. Pretty pathetic.
Can’t wait for more chapters! I check like every other night to see what’s up on this website. Addicted? Heh, yeppers.
i absolutely adore your story. It is fabulous and keeps me on the edge of my seat. So thanks for that. the end. I am glad you had a good thanksgiving. =]
Thanks so much for the comments, guys! I finished the last Harry Potter a few days ago, and I already miss it. So. Good. Hope you’re starting them soon, Stacey—I too avoided them much too long!
Sam–Let’s just hope Jill learns from Charlotte’s mistakes. ^__~
